Yaoyuan brings a blend of analytical depth, commercial insight, and cross-functional project experience to her work with aviation clients. Prior to joining Alton, she was an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group in London, where she delivered data-driven strategic and operational work for clients across Europe.
Yaoyuan has advised clients across the aviation ecosystem - including airports, airlines, OEMs, and eVTOL innovators - on strategic and operational challenges. She created airport investment theses through historical traffic and growth potential evaluations for a number of hub and P2P airports in Europe, and created an airport value creation paybook covering 2B and 2C levers to grow EBITDA margins. On the airline side she improved the on-time performance of a leading European airline through operational resource re-deployment (flight prioritization), process improvement, and digital enablement. For OEMs, she revamped the S&OP process of an upstream OEM so it is nimble, digitally-enabled, and effectively contributes to executive decision-making, and analyzed eVTOL market potential for a prospective entrant.
Yaoyuan has also worked for clients in the financial institution and consumer packaged goods industry. She holds a First-Class degree in Psychological and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Cambridge and is a native speaker of English and Chinese.
