Shon Mori

Shon brings a global academic and research background in aerospace engineering and applied mathematics to support Alton's clients with data-driven and analytically rigorous solutions.  Based in Alton's Singapore office, Shon draws on his experience in quantitative modeling and civil aircraft systems to deliver strategic insights across the aviation value chain.

Prior to joining Alton, Shon completed his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Aerospace Engineering at Université Paris-Saclay and ONERA, the French aerospace lab.  His doctoral research focused on machine learning and reduced-order modeling for civil aircraft design optimization.  He also held engineering roles across Australia and France, including with Glencore and Altair Engineering, where he supported asset management and simulation development for complex mechanical systems.

In addition to his Ph.D., Shon holds dual master's degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Queensland and CentraleSupélec.  He is fluent in English, Japanese, and French.
