
Based in Alton’s Dubai office, Dion brings extensive aviation and aerospace advisory experience to Alton’s clients. He has worked on a variety of strategy, due diligence, and operational improvement engagements for airlines, airports, government entities, and investors.
Dion supported a detailed operational and commercial review for a major international airline, focusing on network planning and flight operations, and identifying targeted improvement opportunities aligned with industry best practices. He also supported an airline transaction due diligence, building a long-term traffic forecast, developing a valuation model for the airline's airport slots, conducting competitive benchmarking, and assessing organizational right-sizing opportunities.
In addition, Dion supported an aviation infrastructure acquisition due diligence, conducting rental rate benchmarking and tenant demand assessment for MRO hangar assets, alongside a market assessment of jet fuel supply and airport fuel concession agreements.
Prior to joining Alton, Dion was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in London. His experience included a commercial due diligence for a flight safety equipment OEM and MRO provider, an eVTOL market study for a major private equity firm exploring investments in Advanced Air Mobility, and an opportunity assessment of the military space training market for a UK defense company. Dion began his career at Avascent in London, a boutique consulting firm advising global defense companies.
Dion holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Management from Imperial College Business School.
