Denis Hogan

Denis Hogan is a seasoned aircraft leasing executive and advisor, with a career spanning over 30 years. Denis leverages his extensive experience, relationships, and proficiency in the commercial airline and aviation leasing industries to support the success of Alton’s clients.

Denis was a founding team member of SMBC Aviation Capital (previously RBS Aviation Capital), which grew from a start-up in 2001 to become one of the world’s top three aircraft lessors. Rising through the ranks, he held key positions, including Executive Vice President and Head of Airline Marketing for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa where his leadership steered a team responsible for leasing aircraft to airlines in the region. Previously, he played pivotal roles as Head of OEM Relationships and Head of Restructuring.

Before SMBC, Denis was a Partner at IAMG, a successful aviation advisory company, which was later sold to become RBS Aviation Capital. Denis started his aviation career with GPA Group and subsequently worked in banking with Barclays and KBC.

He is a qualified solicitor, holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a law degree from Trinity College Dublin.

Denis is based in Alton’s Dublin office.
