Augusto Viansson Ponte

Augusto Viansson Ponte brings over 25 years of aviation industry experience to his client engagements. He advises corporate clients, governments, and private equity and infrastructure investors on matters of strategy, performance improvement, and transactions across the global aviation sector.

Augusto has deep expertise in financial management, corporate strategy, restructuring, transformation, and due diligence. He has been involved in numerous airline start-up, restructuring, and performance improvement initiatives, and has worked across both operational and strategic consulting as well as investment banking. His experience spans Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

Before joining Alton, Augusto held the position of Director of Strategy and Planning at Airline Management Group (AMG), and earlier in his career worked at L.E.K. Consulting and AlixPartners, where he was a key member of the global aviation practices.

Augusto holds a BA (Hons) in International Business Studies from the European Business School in London. He is fluent in English, Italian, and German, and has been nominated Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS).
