HONG KONG (May 13, 2019) — Alton Aviation Consultancy managing director and co-founder Adam Cowburn met on 13 May 2019 with the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Taur Matan Ruak, to discuss opportunities and challenges in the aviation sector. Mr. Cowburn was joined in the meeting at Palácio do Governo by distinguished Timorese aviation experts Pedro Carrascalão and João Tavares.

The group discussed the importance of robust and sustainable air links to the economic security, tourism growth, and continued development of Timor-Leste. Also discussed was the role that a potential “aviation task force” might play in coordinating the use of Timor-Leste’s aviation assets and in optimizing the development of the aviation sector for the benefit of the country.
